Lucy’s Story
Lucy’s design business was struggling in a few areas. She had studied previously and had taken time out to have 2 lovely children. However, now it was time for her to focus on her business now they were both at school. She was finding it difficult to get clients who valued her offering. She was also people pleasing to build her portfolio of work and to take any job to ‘get on the ladder’.
Moving Lucy’s creative business forward
Lucy had a lack of clarity over her offering and a lack of confidence with herself and her skillset in the wider working world. Over the past couple of years, she had been on business courses - even one specific to her creative niche. She had tried lots of self-help strategies to help launch her fledgling business, but difficulties came when trying to apply what she had learnt and it was at this point that I was able to step in.
Understanding how to move forward
I was able to explain to Lucy, with clarity, how her business would benefit from my mentoring expertise. I gave Lucy planning, guidance, knowledge and accountability to face the complete overwhelm she was feeling. I was able to nurture self-doubt into a complete trust in her own business and it roots. Giving her tools and knowledge to finally move forward with confidence and self-belief.
I helped Lucy to understand and define who her target audience was as this helps with messaging when marketing. If you talk to everyone the messaging is very general, however if you niche down your ideal audience will listen as your wording will be specific.
I used some creative tools and exercises that made the process personal to Lucy and her business narrative.

“The whole experience with Vicki has been invaluable, if like me you have lots of pieces in place but need help organising them or you lack in self-confidence Vicki will tick every box to help you get your business ideas up and running. She is driven with a real passion for what she does, and it is so refreshing to have an accessible platform that is tailored to your specific needs and vision. I would highly recommend Vicki, telling everyone that women in business can be strong, authentic to themselves and successful! Thank you!”
